Dec 30, 2018 · With this DIY spirit in mind, I wanted to try my hand at homemade vaping oil. While I try to stick to vaping as it’s gentler on my lungs, I usually use the flower we grow at home, or I end up purchasing oil cartridges. Doing this regularly made me wonder just how tricky it is to make your own vape oil in your kitchen.

Oct 14, 2013 · Per my dash gauge I'm seeing (once warmed up) only 20 psi at idle, up to 30-35 in low speed driving, about 40 on the highway. Seems low to me, what do people usually see for oil pressure? My 2010 has 55,000 miles and so far I don't see it burning any oil at all, but have only owned it for about 6,000 miles. Feb 23, 2003 · When driving gently, the system should hold a high, steady vacuum. In not, something else in the system is wrong, possibly a solenoid valve. If, at the transition, the system drops to zero, or something very low, a vacuum line popped off somewhere is indicated.
V8 NL Fairlane (wife's car)- dash oil pressure guage drops to zero at idle after oil reaches normal running temp. At higher rpm when driving it is normal. Also normal at start up. No funny clunking noises or overheating. Oil is valvoline engine armor 15w/40. Oil & filter & sender unit changed - still same result. Engine has done 240,000kms. Also check the spec and +/- for the low oil pressure switch, i.e. the low oil pressure light will often light before you reach the absolute min spec oil pressure. And the O.M. will often say the low oil pressure light coming on at hot idle is permissible, as long as it goes out immediately with an increase in engine rpm. Jun 25, 2019 · While each vehicle has its own optimal speed for fuel efficiency, speeding can result in 7% to 23% reduced fuel economy. Driving at slower speeds can save 21 to 71 cents per gallon. 3.

Whether the engine is at idle or going 80 mph the needle on the oil pressure gauge always points to the halfway mark. It never moves at all while the engine is running. Other vehicles that I have owned exhibited a substantially lower oil pressure at idle than at 80 mph.
Nov 17, 2014 · It is unusual if that is the case, even fairly new engines display some pressure drop at idle. Perhaps you have an engine in very fine fettle. If you're concerned you could always buy a new sensor or gauge, fairly standard from most motor factors and only a few quid. Oil pressure then appeared normal. But after the engine warmed up, the oil pressure dropped below normal at idle and the engine noise (probably lifters) returned. Raising the engine speed to above 1000 rpm causes the oil pressure to increase to about 45 psi. If the engine speed is increased even more, oil pressure tops out at about 55 psi.

Traditional oil shock absorbers, when put under extreme stress, can lead to oil foaming which causes shock fading and results in damping power reduction. In the 1950s BILSTEIN found the solution to this problem by developing gas-pressure technology. May 17, 2009 · Drop the pan and clean it out, replace it then flush the engine with clean oil by removing the plugs and turning over the engine with the starter to circulate the oil at low pressure. You should remove the return line to the tank and route it to a big container that you can look in so you can see the condition of the returning oil.
When the engine is turned off and oil pressure drops to zero, the anti-siphon valve automatically closes to prevent the back-flow of oil. This valve ensures that there will be a continuous supply of oil available to the turbocharger and the engine’s lubrication system upon startup. After it starts, within 30 seconds the oil pressure gauge drops to zero and the check engine light pops on. If I shut it down and re-start, the gauge immediately goes back to normal pressure. No engine codes pop on the tuner. If I rev the motor it usually bumps the pressure gauge back to normal.

Feb 21, 2012 · If the oil pressure can be verified as being in the normal range, then it is likely that there is merely a loose electrical connection at the oil pressure sensor. For the OP's sake, I hope that this is the case! If the engine's oil pressure is low, that could be the result of a failing oil pump, although that is a very rare occurrence. There are slight differences between the 1.5 and 2.0 engines as far as oil pressure. First, when idling warm both engines should be between 20-32 psi. The 2.0 is a little lower in that range, the 1.5 a bit higher. Only the 1.5 would show a psi drop to 0 if it enters auto stop.
